2024 has been a year of growth and evolution for Lincoln Loop. We kicked things off with a slight rebrand, giving our identity a refreshed look. As our vision expanded, so did our team, welcoming new talent to help us better serve our clients and projects. Beyond our usual work, we found fulfillment in supporting several non-profit projects that align with our values. A major highlight of the year was our huge presence at DjangoCon US, where our team shared insights and connected with the vibrant Django community.

One of the best executive education institutes in the world
We harnessed AI for our client to address critical student needs and enhance their learning experience. We developed a cutting-edge chat interface from the ground up to provide students with personalized access to course materials, including readings and transcripts. Powered by a fine-tuned Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) model, the tool ensures students receive content tailored specifically to their enrolled programs. To encourage reflective learning, we introduced a generative journaling tool that combines personal insights with AI-generated artwork. Additionally, we laid the foundation for a transformative AI learning assistant and coach, designed to guide students through their learning journeys, help them stay focused on their goals, and act as a virtual accountability partner.
Green Building Initiative
We partnered with Green Building Initiative (GBI) to transform their Green Globes® Net Zero Calculator™ from a limited Excel tool into an extensible, intuitive Django-based web application. The modern solution integrates seamlessly with GBI’s proprietary platforms, significantly improving usability, operational efficiency, and user engagement. Designed to support multiple user profiles, project types, and energy sources, the tool empowers building owners to track energy consumption and reduce greenhouse gas emissions, aligning with GBI’s mission to drive sustainability in commercial real estate.
Natural Gas Intelligence
Over the summer, we launched the re-platforming of NaturalGasIntel.com (NGI), migrating from an aging WordPress instance to a modern Wagtail CMS implementation with a refreshed look and feel. The new platform enables easy publishing for editors, speedy page builds for marketing, a Python-based architecture for the NGI dev team, and streamlined user experiences for NGI’s growing subscriber base. We also migrated NGI from WooCommerce to a custom-made e-commerce solution, allowing them more control over the checkout experience for physical and digital products.

Reliability is at the core of what we do. This year, we helped our client celebrate two years of uninterrupted uptime, a milestone made even more impressive by the platform processing over 500 million monthly requests. Behind the scenes, we’ve maintained proactive monitoring, robust failover systems, and a culture of continuous improvement. This achievement reflects not just our technical expertise but also our commitment to supporting our client’s mission on a global scale.
A Leading Fortune 500 Energy Company
An international energy company needed a way to collect meaningful data about equipment failures and the routine repairs required at several facilities. We helped replace a workflow of Word documents sent by email with a robust web platform. This system ties data together from multiple departments, schedules work across teams and facilities, and builds meaningful connections between otherwise disparate collections of data. This new data will allow for meaningful insights into points of failure, reducing downtime, increasing repair efficiency, and saving millions of dollars per year in lost revenue.
