Ever since his first taste of the internet in the mid 90’s, Brandon has wanted to be a part of creating the Web. He’d always been fascinated by technology and programming, and the new forms of communication and interaction possible were very exciting.

After creating various web sites throughout the years using PHP and Javascript, Brandon learned about the Django web framework in early 2008. He was immediately drawn to it because of its emphasis on modularity and the DRY principle, the clean and organized project structure it encourages, and its focus on transparency and avoiding hidden “magic”. Brandon never looked back, and now enjoys specializing in Django and engaging in the vibrant community surrounding it.

Brandon lives with his wife and young son north of Dallas, Texas. In his personal life he is an unapologetic nerd who enjoys video games, tech blogs, books and movies with intricate plots and complex characters, listening to various subgenres of metal, tinkering with open source software, and patching together computer hardware.
